I received a Masters of Science in Environmental Policy and Behavior from the University of Michigan in 2004. I started out working in documentary film, with Metrocom International. From there I founded the video production company In-Site Video, which was contracted by non-profits and municipal governments to produce environmental media. For example:
The MAB award-winning Green Room radio program began airing monthly in 2013 on NPR-affiliate WEMU News (see samples below).
The Green Room television show, a Philo award-winning monthly series, began airing in 2010 on Ann Arbor’s Community Television Network.
My WEMU series on PFAS received the 2019 Michigan Association of Broadcasters Excellence Award for public radio mini-documentary/series.
I explore questions such as:
What are the impacts of human activities, and how can we preserve our natural resources? From birth to death and everything in-between, I explore strategies to minimize our adverse effects.
What are the societal forces at play? I give voice to a diversity of opinions, and delve into underlying values. For example, this segment interviewed conservatives for their perspectives on the environment.
